Shine among them like stars in the sky. – Philippians 2:15

Have you ever admired the sky on a clear night? It’s an incredible sight with myriads of stars sparkling on a vast palate. As followers of Christ, the Holy Spirit dwells within us. He gives us the power to shine the light and love of Jesus in this dark world. As you go about your day today, consider who you may encounter that needs to experience this encouraging, live giving light? If we reach out to others with Christ’s incredible love, our light will shine just as brightly as those stars in the night sky.

Prayer: Light in the Darkness, we are grateful for how the Holy Spirit empowers us. Help us to live in a way so that others see your light. Amen.

This Sunday, September 6th at 9:30 am begins a new season for the adult Sunday School class.
What does it truly mean to live by faith? And how do we remain faithful when life makes that difficult? This quarter's Adult Bible Study will explore the relationship between faith and faithfulness, two foundational traits of the Christian life, and how together they shape the way we walk with God.
Beginning with the Book of Hebrews, the class will examine what Scripture reveals about living a faith-rooted life. The study then moves into the Old Testament prophets, whose own wrestling with faith and faithfulness speaks directly to the struggles believers face today.

Heavenly Father, as we welcome September, we thank You for the gift of life and for the start of a new season.
We commit our days, our plans, and our steps into Your hands. Guide our feet, strengthen our faith, and fill our hearts with peace, joy, and love.
Grant us wisdom to make the right choices and strength to overcome any challenges ahead. Open new doors of opportunity, remove obstacles in our path, and protect our families and loved ones.May this month bring fresh hope, abundant grace, and testimonies of Your goodness.In Jesus' name, Amen.

Heavenly Father, as the month of August comes to an end, we pause with a grateful heart to thank You for every blessing, challenge, and moment of grace. Prepare our hearts for the gentle shift into a new season and a new month. Fill us with peace instead of worry, and hope instead of doubt as we step forward into September. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Heavenly Father, thank You for waking me up to see another Saturday morning. Your mercy and Your faithfulness has carried me through the week. As I begin this weekend, I give my worries and my need to constantly be busy into Your hands. Teach me how to be still, to breathe, and to find my true rest in You. Bless my family, my home, and fill my mind with Your peace. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
