Help the youngest members of the Church pray for vocations.

Our World Day of Prayer for Vocations Kids Activity Sheets are a simple and engaging way for children to learn about priesthood, consecrated life, and holy marriage while praying for those called to serve the Church.

Perfect for classrooms, parish groups, or families at home, these activities help foster a culture of vocations from an early age.

On this Holy Thursday, we remember the Last Supper where Jesus did two extraordinary things that continue to shape our faith...

1️⃣ He instituted the Holy Eucharist — transforming bread and wine into His own Body and Blood, giving us the greatest gift of His Real Presence and commanding, “Do this in memory of me.” This is why every Mass we attend is a living memorial of that night.

2️⃣He instituted the Priesthood — by ordaining His Apostles as the first priests, empowering them (and all priests who follow) to act in persona Christi — in the person of Christ. Through the Sacrament of Holy Orders, priests continue Jesus’ mission: celebrating the Eucharist, forgiving sins in Confession, baptizing, anointing the sick, and shepherding God’s people.

This is why Maundy Thursday is lovingly called Priests’ Day in many Catholic communities. It is considered the “birthday” of the priesthood.

----------------------
Let us thank God for our priests who continue to serve as “another Christ” — celebrating Mass, forgiving sins, baptizing, anointing the sick, and guiding us in faith.

🙏 Please take a moment today to pray for all priests, especially our parish priests. Offer a special prayer, send them a message, or simply say “Thank you, Father!”
May our priests be strengthened, protected, and filled with joy as they walk with Christ during this Holy Triduum.

Happy Priests' Day to all our beloved priests!
God bless you abundantly. 🙏✨

As we prepare for Holy Week, we are invited to walk closely with Christ through His suffering, death, and Resurrection. Let us also remember those who walk that road daily in His service, our priests.

This photo comes from an ad in a diocesan newspaper, a cherished memory from Bishop Barber’s childhood. He carried it in his wallet for 40 years, a quiet testament to the faith that first inspired his vocation.

“He does things each day whose importance cannot be told in any tongue on earth… he does the noblest work on earth, keeps Christ in the lives of the people.”

During this sacred week, as priests celebrate the Chrism Mass, lead us through the Triduum, hear confessions, and offer the sacrifice of the Mass, may we pause to pray for them, thank them, and recognize the love with which they serve.

This week, consider praying for your pastor by name, offering a word of encouragement, or making a Holy Week intention for priests, especially those who are weary or alone.

May our gratitude help foster a culture of vocations and support the shepherds God has given His Church.

Before you move on, do this one thing.
Say a Hail Mary for a priest.

Priests face unique spiritual battles because of their closeness to the Sacraments and their responsibility for souls. The pressure is constant, the attacks are real, and many walk alone.

Your prayer is not small.
It is powerful.
Pray for priests.
Especially for our Pope, Pope Leo XIV

This weekend, we honor the incredible men both past and present who said “yes” to God’s call to the priesthood.

Being a priest isn’t just a job — it’s a lifelong gift of service, compassion, and love. Thank you to all our priests!
