Acompáñanos a celebrar el culto junto con nuestros socios del Centro de Colaboración en la Iglesia Metodista Unida de Silver Spring, en un servicio único y conjunto que se llevará a cabo en sus instalaciones el 30 de agosto de 2026. Los transportes para quienes deseen estacionarse en la Iglesia Metodista Unida de Hughes saldrán de nuestro estacionamiento a las 9:45 a. m.

El culto se reanudará en Hughes la próxima semana con un servicio único y bilingüe a las 11:15 a.m.
Join us as we worship with our Collaborative Hub Partners at Silver Spring United Methodist Church for a single, joint worship service at their campus on August 30th, 2026. Rides for persons who wish to park at Hughes UMC will depart our parking lot at 9:45 a.m.

Worship will resume at Hughes next week with a single, bilingual service at 11:15 a.m.

What a blessing, despite the rain, to distribute over 300 backpacks, as well as food, to our neighbors last week! Many thanks to our Mid-County Consolidation Hub Staff, pastoral team, and most especially our volunteers for making it such a success!
¡Qué bendición, a pesar de la lluvia, haber podido repartir más de 300 mochilas, además de alimentos, a nuestros vecinos la semana pasada! ¡Muchísimas gracias al personal de nuestro Centro de Consolidación de Mid-County, al equipo pastoral y, sobre todo, a nuestros voluntarios por hacer que todo haya sido un éxito!

Over 62 years ago, our congregation dreamed of a sanctuary that would provide rest, respite, and community for all the people of . Today, their legacy lives on in the people who fill these pews every Sunday as they receive food and other supportive services through our partnership with the Mid-County Consolidation Hub. Thanks be to God!

Another historic photo dump! Check out these pictures featuring a time when our Food Hub was our Sanctuary, the Education Wing was under construction, and a former WWII Army Barracks served as our first chapel. There are even photos of the old Plyers (Mill) Farmhouse where we first began to worship and a parade (1952) celebrating the opening of Georgia Avenue in Wheaton!

From generation to generation, from sanctuaries for worship to sanctuaries providing food security, God has been good!
