We live in perilous times. No matter how much effort we put into our security, we are still at risk. No security system can guarantee our safety. No government can eliminate every danger. No human institution can protect us from every threat.
So where can we find genuine security in such an uncertain world? David declared in Psalm 118:6, “The Lord is for me, so I will have no fear.” I have wonderful news for you today! As Christians, our greatest security is found in the God who watches over us! There is no need to fret. God has your back! The creator of the universe is looking out for you. It is a wonderful feeling to know that you are fully protected by God.
Jesus said, in John 10:28 (MSG) "I give them real and eternal life. They are protected from the Destroyer for good. No one can steal them from out of my hand." Is God your protector?
Psalm 91 is a powerful reminder of God’s protecting power. It recommends some things that Christians can do to ensure that they have God’s protection.

Who, or what, do you identify with the most? Your family, your community, your sports team? You can easily spot those who identify with a sports team. They wear their team colors. They watch and attend the games. They yell for their team. After all, it is fall -- and it is the south.
I love the people who identify with their church. They love their church. They can’t wait for Sunday to roll around so they can experience God with their church buddies. I love these people -- and I love my church!
Now, I must ask for a second time … Who, or what, do you identify with most? Do you identify with Christ? Those who are Christians should be happy to be identified with Christ.
Those who identify with Jesus are born-again believers. They are made new in His image. Every born-again believer is being made into a brand-new person. Christians are not just repaired. They are not just restored. They are not just remade, renewed, reworked, realigned, or redone. Christians are reborn into a new person.
The old person, and its desire for the things of this world, is diminishing. The new person, and its desire for the things of God, is flourishing. Which person are you?

Have you had a heavenly attitude adjustment? Maybe it is time to try it. If you do, you will never be the same!
God wants Christians to live differently than they lived before accepting Jesus as Lord and Savior. That is why God makes it possible for you to have a whole new operating system downloaded into your being. God does not just improve the old you. God makes you totally new!
Jesus died so you could live a better way. He gave His life so you could have a new life. He did this so you could begin your own journey of becoming more like Him. This begins when you allow God to renew your thoughts and attitudes.
Sinners need to change their way of thinking and their attitude. This mean that you need to change. Jesus is the only one who makes this change possible. With Christ directing your life, it is possible to live a better life.

What would you do if you had a map to a great treasure? Would you use it, or would you casually discard it? What if someone sent you a message telling you how to find the greatest treasure that ever existed? Would you investigate the message or would you ignore it?
God sent the most important message ever conveyed. Every human responds in some way to this message. Some receive the message with joy and some ignore it, or reject it outright. How would you respond to the most important message that God has ever sent?
