In chapter 8, Joshua is discouraged and overwhelmed, still feeling the weight of Israel's recent defeat at Ai. Then God says, "Do not be afraid or discouraged." He then sends Joshua right back to the same city where they failed before. Same battle, same enemy, but this time there's a different outcome.
