Paul Parish was formed in 1910 and is the mother church of Weirton, West Virginia. Our current parish community includes downtown, Marland Heights, western sections of Weirton Heights, King’s Creek and Weircrest. We have lived the Catholic faith through the high immigration years when many came to live among us. We professed that same faith during the wartime and after steel-making boom years. We

hold tight to that faith as industry closed and many of our children moved away. We will continue to be a beacon of hope in this city. We welcome all to visit with us, to celebrate God's love and to live as people of faith and hope in this time and place.

🙏 Calling All Parishioners — Our Confirmation Candidates Need YOU! 🕊️

As we prepare for a new year of Confirmation formation, we are looking for caring, faith-filled adults who would be willing to help guide and support our young people as they prepare to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation.

You do not have to be a teacher or a theologian! What we need most are people who love their Catholic faith, care about our young people, and are willing to walk alongside them as they grow in their relationship with Christ. ❤️

There are different ways to help, whether that means assisting with gatherings, working with small groups, helping with activities, sharing your faith, or simply being a positive Catholic presence in the lives of our candidates.

Our young people need adults who are willing to show up, listen, encourage, pray with them, and remind them that they are an important part of our Church.

🕊️ Could God be calling you to help?

If you are interested—or even just curious about what is involved—please email Carrie at [email protected].

Please prayerfully consider joining us. You may have a greater impact on the faith of a young person than you realize. 🙏❤️

“Come, Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of your faithful and kindle in them the fire of your love.”

Join us as we welcome St. Paul School students back today and pray for the new school year.

Dear God,
Today, I lift up all the students, teachers, and school staff as they begin a new school year. Please bless them with strength, focus, and courage as they face new lessons, challenges, and friendships.
Watch over the children - keep them safe, healthy, and excited to learn. Guide the teachers with patience and wisdom as they shape young minds and hearts.
May every classroom be filled with peace and respect. Let joy and kindness overflow in their daily routines. Remind them that You walk with them in every step they take.
Lord, I entrust them all to your care.
Amen

We wish Bishop Evelio a very happy birthday!
