Welcome to The Church in Peaster!
If you’re new here, we’re so glad you’re here. Whether you’ve joined us for one Sunday, you have been here for a long time or you’re looking for a church to call home, there are a few things we’d love for you to know about who we are and the values that guide us as a church family.
1. We are an elder-led church.
We believe Jesus is the Head of the Church, and He has entrusted elders with the responsibility of shepherding and caring for His people (Acts 20:28; Titus 1:5–9; 1 Peter 5:1–3). Our elders seek the Lord through prayer and His Word as they provide spiritual oversight, protect sound doctrine, and lovingly care for the church. Their desire is to lead with humility, wisdom, and servant-hearted leadership as they follow Christ.
2. We value wise stewardship.
Everything entrusted to the church ultimately belongs to God. That’s why we have a financial board that meets regularly to provide accountability, wisdom, and oversight as financial decisions are made. We believe faithful stewardship honors both the Lord and the generosity of those who give to support His work.
3. We value healthy, biblical relationships.
We believe the Church should be a place where truth and grace go hand in hand. When conflict arises, we seek to follow Jesus’ instruction in Matthew 18:15 by first going directly to the person involved with the goal of restoration. We want to be a church that talks TO one another, not ABOUT one another. If leadership is ever asked to help, we ask that everyone involved be identified so we can prayerfully listen, understand the full picture, and pursue reconciliation in a way that honors Christ.
These aren’t just practices—they’re values we believe help us grow into the kind of church God has called us to be. Thank you for being part of what God is doing at The Church in Peaster. We’re grateful you’re here, and we look forward to partnering with you in the work of the gospel across the street and around the world.”
