Heavenly Father,
We come before You asking for Your protection and mercy over every person, family, firefighter, first responder, rancher, and community affected by the Ross Fire.
Lord, restrain the fire. Calm the winds. Send rain and favorable conditions. Give firefighters fortitude, wisdom, strength, endurance, and supernatural protection as they work to contain it.
Protect every home and every life in the path of this fire. Guard the elderly, children, families, and animals who have been displaced, and those returning to their homes. Comfort those who have lost property, livestock, and places that are precious to them. Provide everything they need in the days ahead.
Father, we especially pray for Palo Pinto County, Jack County, Possum Kingdom, and the surrounding communities. Place a Ps 91 hedge of protection around them, and keep this fire from advancing into additional communities.
Give the leaders and emergency personnel wisdom to respond quickly if conditions change. Send your angels to lift up the smoke and to clear the air. 
Your Word says, “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.” So today we declare that You are our refuge. We trust You to preserve life, strengthen those who are weary, and bring this fire under control.
Lord, let there be no loss of human life. Protect the animals that remain in danger, make a way for evacuations and rescues, and surround every responder with Your angels.
We ask for a supernatural and dramatic turnaround—containment, protection, restoration, and an outpouring of rain.
In the mighty name of Jesus, Amen.
