Revive a Sunnah. Break a Habit.
You do a good deed...
But before you've even enjoyed it, another thought appears:
Should I take a photo? What should I write? Will people know I did this?
Then you find yourself returning to the post, checking the likes and comments, until people's approval matters more than Allah's acceptance.
The Prophet ﷺ mentioned one of the seven whom Allah will shade on the Day when there is no shade but His:
"A person who gives charity so secretly that their left hand does not know what their right hand has given."
Such complete sincerity...
As if the giver wanted no witness between themselves and Allah.
Not every good deed shared publicly is done for show. Sometimes it inspires others to do good.
But here's the question that reveals the heart:
If no one knew what you did...
If no one thanked you...
If there were no photo, no post, and no comments...
Would it be enough that Allah saw it?
Make sure you have deeds that no one knows except Allah.
What act of worship can you keep as a secret between you and Allah?
