🥁 Celebrating Oyè Palaver Hut Youth Employment Program! 🎶

On August 7, 2026, we were delighted to celebrate Oyè Palaver Hut, Powered by Possibilities® Youth Employment Program, with an afternoon filled with music, dance, art, and African drumming.

During the celebration, we also heard a wonderful and inspiring message about the Summer Youth Employment Program (SYEP) and the importance of providing young people with opportunities to learn, work, grow, and discover their potential.

It was a joyful afternoon celebrating our youth, their accomplishments, and the possibilities ahead! ❤️👏🏾

🎶 A Beautiful Sunday of Worship & Fellowship 🎶

This Sunday at The Church of the Epiphany, we were blessed to come together in worship, fellowship, and beautiful music.

Our Offertory Anthem, “Laudate Dominum” by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (1756–1791), was beautifully offered by Emily Sherman, Soprano.

Laudate Dominum — “Praise the Lord” — was a wonderful reminder to lift our hearts and voices in praise to God.

Thank you, Emily, for sharing your beautiful gift with us and enriching our Sunday worship. ❤️🙏🏽🎶

🌍 Celebrating Our Journey: Youth, Culture & Community

The Church of the Epiphany was delighted to host Powered by Possibilities’ Oye Palaver Hut Youth Employment Program for its culminating celebration, marking the completion of the program and showcasing the young people’s hard work, creativity, and growth.

The celebration, “Our Journey,” was filled with energy, culture, and talent. The youth shared powerful performances including “Stand Up,” West African dances “Kuku” and “Mendiani,” African drumming, spoken word, and an art gallery presentation, “Writing on the Wall.”

It was wonderful to see the young people express themselves through music, dance, art, storytelling, and African cultural traditions. The celebration concluded with a joyful reception featuring delicious food, fellowship, and community.

We are grateful to Powered by Possibilities, the Oye Palaver Hut team, the talented youth, their families, and everyone who helped make this special celebration possible.

Congratulations to all of the young people on completing the program! We celebrate your accomplishments and all the possibilities ahead of you! ❤️🌍🥁🎶

Sunday at The Church of the Epiphany, we were blessed by the beautiful voice of tenor Irvin Peterson, who offered the Offertory Anthem, “Ye People, Rend Your Hearts; If with All Your Hearts” from Elijah by Felix Mendelssohn (1809–1847).

His inspiring performance led us into a deeper spirit of worship and reflection. We are grateful for the gift of music that lifts our hearts and draws us closer to God.

With thankful hearts, we thank you, Irvin Peterson, for sharing your remarkable talent and helping to make today’s worship so meaningful. 🎶❤️
