Kristie and I had a wonderful time last weekend in Tulsa, OK with The Crete Collective family at Springs of Grace and One Hope Tulsa. It was a moving time witnessing some of the history and memorials of the 1921 Tulsa Race Massacre as well as the indomitable spirit of Christ in the saints there. The One Hope Urban Ministry Conference was a refreshing time of fellowship and sharing. We were impressed and encouraged by the work happening at One Hope. In the Tulsa area, definitely check them out!

[15] I saw all the living who move about under the sun, along with that youth who was to stand in the king’s place. [16] There was no end of all the people, all of whom he led. Yet those who come later will not rejoice in him. Surely this also is vanity and a striving after wind.

This morning at 12:25am, this beautiful soul transitioned from life to everlasting life. This is my mother-in-law, Mrs. Joyce. She loved fine things, a good party, and a worthy cause. She probably served on the board of half a dozen organizations, from fundraising for Alzheimer’s research to remaining active with her historically black high school’s alumni group. Faithful to her church for decades, she was a devoted mother and a most excellent mother-in-law. She lives forever with her Savior.
