Here’s an article in the Catholic Standard featuring the Dec 1 Mass with Cardinal Gregory. He closed off our year-long centennial celebration.

Cardinal Wilton Gregory closed the yearlong centennial celebration of St. Francis Xavier Parish in Southeast Washington by celebrating a Dec. 1 Mass at the Pennsylvania Avenue church. He had ushered in the start of the parish’s 100th anniversary observances the previous December.

We are winding down the year-long Centennial Celebration which culminates into a gala on Saturday, December 7. Tickets are still available at $80 at Bolling Air Force. Please contact smith to purchase your ticket.

Today, after Mass, during Hospitality Sunday, some members of the congregation celebrated community. As part of our fundraising, we’ve been selling tee shirts and sweat shirts and we all came with them on today.

Also, our priest Fr. DeSouza became a US citizen last week.

Mass is regular time at 10 a.m. tomorrow.

The Fundraising Committee handed over $900 to the church after our Another $50 was given in by another ministry to go toward it. Thank you to all who supported and prayed for our success in all of these ventures.😘
