With the new school season beginning—some already back in session and others still waiting for that first day—we would love to share a moment with you this morning to pray over the day for all those entering into the new school year. 🛐
Dear Father,
Summer is slowly coming to an end and a new season is starting, we thank You for every memory, every adventure, every moment of rest, and every blessing this summer has brought. Wherever our hearts are today, help us to embrace the season that you have placed before us.
Lord, as a new school year begins, we lift up every child, teenager, teacher, administrator, and school staff member. We pray Your protection over every school building, bus, classroom, playground, and campus. Watch over those who attend public school, private school, and those who are homeschooled. Give parents wisdom, teachers patience, and students courage, confidence, and a desire to learn.
Keep our children safe as they travel to and from school. Surround them with good influences and caring adults, mentors, and friends. Help them to be kind, stand up for others, and remember that they are never alone because You are always with them.
For the parents whose hearts are nervous and the children nervous entering into the school season, give them peace. For the kids who are excited, guide their steps.
And as we step into this new season, help us not to rush through it. Let us notice the beauty You have placed in each day. Give us grateful hearts for what was, peace for what is, and faith for what is still to come.
