This Sundays sermon title is: "Lean on God" Text: Proverbs 3: 5-6.
"By not leaning on our own understanding we are actually resting our intellect upon the intellect of an all-knowing God."
"Nothing is wiser and saner than that."
"Why is this wise you might ask?"
"The idea of God's faithfulness is that He always keeps His promises."
"We can place our confidence in Him, because God does not change."
"He is not going to be here one minute and gone the next."
"His love for us is constant and He has promised to never leave us or abandon us."
"For there has not been one failed promise made by God throughout history."
"And that should be a great comfort for us who are in Christ!" ✝️ 🙌
Sunday school is at 9:30am followed by the worship service at 10:30am.

"Solomon wasn't making a mere suggestion but an absolute statement."
"The use of the word 'fear' is not meant to imply a sense of horror, despair, or fright."
"Yes it is a strong term, for sure. But here it points more towards a sense of extreme respect and reverence for God."

"Who was King Solomon?"
"Solomon was the third king of Israel and was the son of King David and Bathsheba."
"He is credited with writing the book of Proverbs, the Song of Solomon, the book of Ecclesiastes, and two Psalms."
"Solomon was the wisest man who ever lived but also was one of the most foolish."
"He allowed the pleasures of this world and his foreign wife's to turn his heart away from his God."
"His life is a tragic tale on how bad company corrupts good character."
"But the wisdom that God gave him which is preserved in the Old Testament can still be of a great benefit to us in our lives today."
This message is a introductory message for our new series in the book of Proverbs.

This Sundays sermon title: "The Expected One?" Text: Matthew 11: 2-6. "Good Christians don't worry, doubt, or have fear. Well at least, this is what some people would have us believe."
"But this text which contains the interaction between Jesus and John the Baptist contradicts that statement, for it reminds us that even the most faithful and devoted individuals of faith can experience moments of doubt and uncertainty."
"When John sent his disciples to ask Jesus if He is the one, Jesus didn't rebuke them and John. Instead He reassured them by saying the blind see, the lame walk, the dead are raised, and the gospel is preached!"
This is such a encouraging text for us! It reminds us that Jesus is the One and that He is our blessed hope! 🙌 🎉 ✝️

"Covetousness is the precursor to many forms of external sin, as it drives individuals to take unethical actions to fulfill their selfish desires." "The fact that this commandment comes last is significant, as it deals with the hearts desire, it is the area where all sin ultimately begins."
