Our series in Colossians continues this Sunday 🙌
Sermon title: "Exclusiveness of Christ"
Text: Colossians 1:18-20
To grasp the deep meaning of these verses, we must consider and understand the great significance of what they are telling us.
These verses give us clarity on what we are to Christ and what He is to us.
He is the one that has supreme authority over the church being the head of it and over all of creation.
These verses place Jesus at the center indicating that everything in the church comes from Him.
He is not just a part of the church, He is the source of its life and direction.
We do not need to search elsewhere for truth and understanding of God.
Everything we need to know about our Creator is made clear through Christ.
He is the head of the church and the image of the invisible God.

This Sunday we will be continuing our series in Colossians!
Sermon title: "Visible Image of God"
Text: Colossians 1: 15-17
These verses are some of the most important verses about Christ in the whole New Testament.
These verses contain Paul's counterargument against false teachings about the nature and divinity of Jesus Christ.
The focus of these verses are the supremacy of Christ. 🎉
They refer to Christ's preeminence.
What is preeminence? It refers to the state of being superior or surpassing all others in authority, rank, or importance.
Jesus was not merely a part of creation, but He was indeed the Author of it. 🙌
"For in Him all things were created: things in heaven and on the earth." 🌎

This Sunday we will be continuing our series in Colossians!
Sermon title: "Our Life Line"
Text: Colossians 1: 13-14
The phrase "rescued us" is very significant.
It shows us that God took an active role in our salvation.
For He reached down into our messy world and pulled us out of the muck and mud of death and sin.
Sin not only makes us dirty, it creates a horrible stench in God's nostrils.
He can't stand it, for He is pure, righteous, and holy.
But don't lose hope brothers and sisters.
Because we have been redeemed from the kingdom of darkness.
For God released us from the condemnation of sin through Jesus Christ!
Removing the enemy's legal hold on us, where his accusations have no more power.
Christ is our life line and we belong to Him.
He has moved us from condemnation to redemption.
And from separation to reconciliation with God!
Amen! 🙌 🙏

This Sunday we will be continuing our series in Colossians!
Sermon title: "Fruit Bearers"
Text: Colossians 1: 9-12.
In these verses the Apostle Paul prays 🙏 for the spiritual growth for the believers at the church of Colossae.
At the heart of spiritual growth is learning how to develop a strong relationship with God and learning how to please God by the way we live our lives.
When we live a life worthy of the Lord, we not only show our gratitude towards Him but we will also reflect His love and light.
Living a life that is worthy of the Lord involves more than just our actions.
It's about our attitudes, our thoughts, and our intentions.
When we bear good fruit we glorify God and reflect His character by demonstrating love, kindness, compassion, and selflessness in our actions.
Through God's glorious might, we are given the power to stand strong and face the challenges of life.
For our strength comes from above! 🙌

This Sunday we will be starting a new series in the book of Colossians!
Sermon title: "Bearing Fruit" 🍎🍒🍇🍋
Text: Colossians 1: 1-8
In the opening verses the Apostle Paul emphasizes hope, in a total contrast to the hopelessness of the world.
Studies have shown that hopelessness has become a serious epidemic in our society.
Hopelessness is not a passive state, but it is an active process of erosion.
When people lose hope, the consequences are profound.
Apathy and cynicism creep in.
Even believers are not immune to hopelessness from time to time.
As believers we can get overwhelmed with grief living in this cursed fallen world. 🌎
But as tough as it can get we cannot lose hope.
As we study this text there are three crucial words for us to focus on.
Faith, hope, and love! ❤️
These are the fruit of the Spirit in our lives.
If we have faith and love which springs from hope, then where does our hope come from?
Our hope is found in the gospel. ✝️
For we belong to God.
For after this life is over we will go to be with the Lord and there we will receive all the blessings of eternity. 🙌
