We are committed to the word of God and being the family of God. LAC Statement of Faith

We believe the Bible to be the only inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God. We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We believe in the deity of Jesus Christ; in His virgin birth; in His sinless life; in His miracles, in His vicarious and

atoning death through His shed blood; in His bodily resurrection; in His ascension to the right hand of the Father; and in His personal return in power and glory. We believe that for the salvation of the lost and sinful man, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is essential, and that repentance from sin and acceptance of Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior is the only way to come into a relationship with God. We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, by Whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life. We further believe His power and gifts are available to believers today. We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost: they that are saved unto the resurrection of life and they that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation. We believe it is important to uphold the Scriptural practices of the early church. Therefore, we hold to the practices of water baptism and the regular taking of communion. We do not believe that either of these is essential for salvation, but that they serve as a demonstration of our faith in Jesus Christ. We believe God ordained the family and it is foundational to all other institutions. Marriage is the uniting of one man and one woman in covenant commitment for a lifetime. Children, from the moment of conception, are a blessing and heritage from the Lord. Parents are to demonstrate to their children God's spiritual truths.

Why are you the way you are? That’s a loaded question. And that may be the question your spouse has been asking for the last 40 years. Why are you the way you are? We have to admit that self-awareness is hard. It’s impossible to be objective about ourselves. That’s why we need the Holy Spirit. To take an honest look in the mirror we must invite the Holy Spirit to reveal the truth about us and allow Him to sand our rough edges. Ephesians 4:1-2 lists the key ingredients to conquering our blind spots and helping us become more like Jesus.

The book of Acts records the movement of God. And we long for Him to move again. To do now what He did then! The book of Acts continues to be written, and today, we are living and writing our chapter. The mission continues. It’s still about Jesus. And Jesus is calling us to be a part of that mission.

“Please help me, Lord.” Have you ever said that? We all have. All of us have experienced times when we were desperate for God’s help. And the good news is that He promises to help. Jesus called the Holy Spirit our “Helper.” The Holy Spirit is with us, and in us, helping us endure whatever we are facing.

THIS SUNDAY AT LAKE ARROWHEAD CHURCH – AUGUST 16
The book of Acts records the birth of the Church and the thirty-year period following the resurrection of Jesus. The book is filled with dramatic events and incredible stories of faith. One of those stories is about Paul taking his stand, telling his story, and declaring his faith in Jesus Christ. He was convinced it was true. He was compelled to talk about it. And he was courageous to take a stand ................ watch online at 10:45 or join us in person at 9:00 or 10:45 on Sunday morning.
