We are committed to the word of God and being the family of God. LAC Statement of Faith

We believe the Bible to be the only inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God. We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We believe in the deity of Jesus Christ; in His virgin birth; in His sinless life; in His miracles, in His vicarious and

atoning death through His shed blood; in His bodily resurrection; in His ascension to the right hand of the Father; and in His personal return in power and glory. We believe that for the salvation of the lost and sinful man, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is essential, and that repentance from sin and acceptance of Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior is the only way to come into a relationship with God. We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, by Whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life. We further believe His power and gifts are available to believers today. We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost: they that are saved unto the resurrection of life and they that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation. We believe it is important to uphold the Scriptural practices of the early church. Therefore, we hold to the practices of water baptism and the regular taking of communion. We do not believe that either of these is essential for salvation, but that they serve as a demonstration of our faith in Jesus Christ. We believe God ordained the family and it is foundational to all other institutions. Marriage is the uniting of one man and one woman in covenant commitment for a lifetime. Children, from the moment of conception, are a blessing and heritage from the Lord. Parents are to demonstrate to their children God's spiritual truths.

THIS SUNDAY AT LAKE ARROWHEAD CHURCH – JUNE 7
Stephen was the first martyr of the early church. But what does his story have to do with us? We worship in freedom and comfort. But that’s not the experience for many people in the world. Persecution is real. It’s happening, and there are Stephens all over the world. But the issue for us is not if we are willing to die for Jesus, but if we are willing to live for Jesus ...... THIS SUNDAY AT LAKE ARROWHEAD CHURCH - MAY 31
The book of Acts records the birth of the Church and the thirty-year period following the resurrection of Jesus. The book is filled with dramatic events and incredible stories of faith. Those who were there heard His teaching and witnessed His miracles. They saw Him die and they saw Him alive again. They believed Jesus was the Son of God. They were convinced it was true. They were compelled to talk about it. And they were courageous to take a stand ........... Watch online at 10:45 or join us in person at 9:00 or 10:45.

Acts 5 is the story of Peter taking his stand. Following the resurrection, Peter boldly preached on the streets of Jerusalem and faced opposition and threats for doing so. He was arrested and tortured, yet Peter said, “We cannot stop speaking what we have seen and heard” (Acts 4:20, NAS). And if...

The first century Christians are our mentors, and we can learn so much from them. One thing we can learn is that their prayers revealed their priorities. And the same is true of us. What we pray reveals what’s important to us. Of course, it’s appropriate to pray for health issues and family issues and a thousand other problems we face. But when the church prays, the Gospel must take priority. The mission must take priority. As they faced increasing opposition, they did not pray for political revolution. They did not pray for comfort or protection or prosperity. They prayed for boldness to share the Gospel. So as we learn from them, may we pray as they prayed.

Acts 3-4 records the story of a miracle on the front steps of the temple. The miracle proves the power of His name to heal, and the miracle points to the power of His name to save. That’s the Gospel. The power of His name to heal proves the power of His name to save.

Acts 2 is a portrait of the church, a beautiful portrait of the bride of Christ. We can read Acts 2 strategically and list the purposes of the church – worship, discipleship, fellowship, evangelism, and prayer. We could even grade ourselves on how well we’re doing strategically. But instead of using Acts 2 to grade us, it’s better to let it inspire us. Acts 2 describes a way of life, a way of learning, a way of loving, a way of worshiping, a way of sharing the Gospel. The better approach is to focus on the spirit and the heart of the people that was so attractive and compelling that others wanted to know more about Jesus.
