When was the last time you truly paused to remember what Jesus did for you?

This week we explored the profound meaning behind the Lord's Supper—a sacred table set nearly 2,000 years ago. It's not just a ritual; it's a powerful reminder involving all five senses that Jesus wanted us to never forget His sacrifice. At this table, we find three essential looks: backward to the cross and Christ's broken body and shed blood, inward to examine our hearts and get right with God, and forward to the promise that Jesus is coming again.

The Lord's Supper isn't about earning salvation—it's about remembering the One who already paid it all. It's an opportunity to soften hardened hearts, confess unresolved sin, and restore broken relationships before we meet Him face to face. As 1 Corinthians 11:26 reminds us, "As often as ye eat this bread and drink this cup, ye do show the Lord's death till He come."

Don't let this precious gift become mechanical. Let it transform you.

The once-blind man in John 9 could not explain where Jesus came from or defend every theological argument. But he knew one thing: "I was blind, now I see." That simple, unshakeable testimony outlasted every proud scholar who tried to silence him.

Pride is called the mother sin for a reason. Every sin traces back to it. But perhaps its most destructive fruit is this: it makes a person unteachable. When we close ourselves off from correction and growth, we cap our own potential and risk missing the very miracles God has prepared for us.

God resists the proud but gives grace to the humble (James 4:6). A teachable heart is humble, hungry, and honored by God. Whether you are 17 or 70, there is always more to learn.

In Proverbs 8:12, God offers every believer a "lookout" for life's journey. Just like the Titanic needed someone to see the iceberg ahead, we need spiritual foresight to navigate safely through life's dangers and opportunities. Prudence isn't cowardice or hesitation—it's faith with eyes wide open, making decisions today that protect us tomorrow.

A prudent person guards their speech, watches their steps, stays teachable, protects their family, and values wise counsel. From Susanna Wesley raising 19 children in poverty to become world-changers, to everyday decisions we face—prudence makes all the difference. The simple inherit folly, but the prudent are crowned with knowledge (Proverbs 14:18).

Are you looking ahead with God's wisdom, or just reacting to whatever comes? God wants to give you the foresight to avoid icebergs and seize opportunities.

We can become so focused on religious traditions that we miss the very God standing before us. The Pharisees studied Scripture their entire lives, yet failed to recognize Jesus when He walked among them. They were defending the Sabbath while overlooking the Savior.

In Matthew 12, Jesus makes a radical declaration: "A greater than the temple is here...a greater than Jonah is here...a greater than Solomon is here." He's not just another prophet or teacher. He's greater than our religion, greater than our problems, greater than our sin.

Maybe you're carrying a burden today—health struggles, family pain, financial stress, or deep loneliness. Whatever you're facing, Jesus is greater. He didn't just come to give us better religion; He came to save us, transform us, and give us eternal life.

The invitation is still open. Jesus reaches out His hand and says, "I want you to come to heaven with me." Will you trust Him today?

Every human heart is an altar with a fire. Is yours a roaring blaze for Christ, barely glowing embers, or cold ash? Last Sunday we examined three kinds of Christians and asked the tough question: which one are you?

The carnal Christian is governed by the flesh. The casual Christian lives by convenience—lukewarm, thinking they're doing better than they are. But the committed Christian is governed by Christ alone, counting everything as loss for the excellency of knowing Jesus (Philippians 3:7-8).

The Apostle Paul chose suffering because it led to Christ. He said all his achievements were nothing compared to knowing Jesus. Today is the day to tend the fire in your heart. Feed it. Breathe on it. Let the Holy Spirit ignite a blazing commitment to Christ. The best God has to offer isn't found in carnality or casualness—it's found in full commitment to Him.

Romans 12:19 reminds us: "Avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord."
