This week, we said goodbye to Christopher Jones as he begins a new season in the calling God has placed on his life.

Christopher has been a valued part of VLC, faithfully serving on many church missions and making a lasting impact through his dedication and servant’s heart. While we will miss him, we are grateful for all he has done and excited to see where God leads him next.

We pray God’s continued blessings, favor, and guidance over his journey. You’ll always be part of the VLC family! ❤️🙏

🏗️ Built for Purpose 🏗️

Before God builds a ministry, He builds a person. Before He releases purpose, He develops character.

God formed Adam before placing him in the garden. He prepared David before the throne and Joseph before the palace. God's process always comes before His promotion.

If you're in a season of shaping, trust the Potter's hands. God is building your heart, renewing your mind, and strengthening your faith for the purpose He has prepared for you.

When God finishes building a person, hell cannot stop what Heaven has formed.

Most pastors are ready to relax after pouring their hearts out in the pulpit, but not Pastor Z. He never misses an opportunity to connect, laugh, and make lasting memories with his church family (zipping around the church parking lot with Jeremy and Joe). His love for people extends far beyond Sunday mornings, and we are grateful for his servant’s heart. May God continue to bless him, strengthen him, and use him to impact lives for His Kingdom!

Victorious Preparation ⚔️

The Christian life isn’t a cruise ship — it’s a battleship. God never promised we wouldn’t face battles, but He did promise the victory. Before the fight comes, God prepares our hearts and minds with His Word.

Don’t let what you see become greater than what you know. Fear focuses on the battle, but faith remembers the God who has never lost one. You’re not fighting for victory — you’re fighting from victory. 🙌
