St. John United Church of Christ God is Still Speaking! All are welcome to worship with us Sundays at 11:00, online or in-person. We’d love to get to know you!

Our church is produly designated "Accessible to All" as we seek to welcome and learn from our neighbors of differing abilities. The easiest way to get acquainted is to join us for worship Sundays at 11:00 AM. Children’s church and nursery are available for your kids. We gather for coffee and pastries afterward, and catch up with one another. Before worship, you are welcome to join us at 10:00 AM f

or adult Sunday School. No matter who you are or where you are on life’s journey, you are always welcome here.

A large denomination met in a convention this week and tried to tell women they can't pastor. In the United Church of Christ, we are proud to follow the call of God and ordain folks of every gender.
Why?
There are many biblical and theological reasons I can give. But one answer sticks with me more than others.
We ordain women because we baptize girls.
If a girl can follow the calling of God in baptism, following in the way of the Savior, then we dare not limit where the call of that Savior may lead her.
I'm a man, but I pastor a church with strong women and, praise God, strong girls too. I am excited for the way the Spirit continues to call all of our folks, and I give thanks that the girls who helped serve communion today will never know any different.

Church, you have the best youth ministry.

I can think of no greater Mother's Day gift to the parents of these youth, and our elders who have parented this church, than the full pews and full hearts we had today, as children and teenagers led us in praise, prayer, sermon, and sacrament.

We are a church alive and growing. Thank you St. John, for responding to God's call to youth ministry.
