This is the heart of what we do! 🇺🇸💙

What an incredible day for one very deserving family.

Today, Covenant Church had the honor of partnering with CBN News, CBN's Helping The Home Front as they surprised two of our own, Richard and Britney with an overwhelming blessing they never saw coming.

Helping the Homefront travels across the country partnering with local churches to identify military families who faithfully serve others and then surprise them with practical help, encouragement, and support.

Richard and Britney are exactly the kind of people who would never ask for recognition. They faithfully serve in our Food Pantry Ministry, lead our Homeschool Connections group, and are always willing to step in wherever there is a need. They truly embody what it means to be servant leaders.

What made today so special was watching a family that spends so much of their time blessing others become the recipients of a blessing themselves.

Through the generosity of CBN, Helping the Homefront, Bob Johnson, Trinity Builders, and other partners, Richard and Britney were surprised with thousands of dollars in assistance to help with expenses, utility bills, food, support for needed vehicle repairs, and Trinity Builders help addressing a leaking roof on their home.

The looks on their faces said it all.

We are incredibly grateful to CBN and the entire Helping the Homefront team and the Family at Covenant Church for shining a light on military families and reminding them that their sacrifices are seen, valued, and appreciated.

Richard and Britney, thank you for your heart for God, your love for people, and your faithful service to this church and our community. Today, the community had the opportunity to give some of that love right back to you.

Another meaningful month on the home front 💙

We had the honor of delivering food boxes to Fort Eustis, Langley AFB, and Fort Story, sharing encouragement one box at a time. It’s our prayer that every box brought comfort, hope, and a reminder that our military families are seen, supported, and appreciated.

Thank you to The Meoli Companies for their generous $2,500 donation in support of our mission to serve active-duty military members and their families. This gift will help provide essential support such as groceries, home and auto repairs, emergency flights, and so much more for military families in need.

We are beyond grateful for the amazing Grassfield JROTC cadets who showed up early, rolled up their sleeves, and made a huge impact. Your service-minded hearts inspire us!
