Spend a day at St. Mary’s Seminary and get a firsthand look at seminary life!

Tour the campus, meet seminarians from across Texas, and have plenty of opportunities to ask questions about formation and the priesthood.

Plus, you'll get to see the annual sports tournament between the Houston and San Antonio seminaries, and witness a little friendly competition along the way 🏆

Strong men needed. Consider the priesthood!

10/22/2026

A priest’s soul is changed forever.

At ordination, a man’s soul undergoes an ontological change—a change of being—which indelibly marks his soul forever. Like Baptism and Confirmation, ordination imposes a indelible spiritual character that can not be changed: “Once a priest, always a priest.“

Today is Priesthood Sunday! Thank your priests at mass today and always keep them in your prayers as they live out their sacred vocations in service to the Church! 🙏

"Gracious and loving God, we thank you for the gift of our priests. Through them, we experience your presence in the sacraments.

Help our priests to be strong in their vocation. Set their souls on fire with love for your people.

Grant them the wisdom, understanding, and strength they need to follow in the footsteps of Jesus. Inspire them with the vision of your Kingdom.

Give them the words they need to spread the Gospel. Allow them to experience joy in their ministry.

Help them to become instruments of your divine grace.

We ask this through Jesus Christ, who lives and reigns as our Eternal Priest.

Amen."
