In yesterday's sermon, Rev. Ben preaches on Peter's highs and lows, and why Jesus rebukes Peter so strongly--because the Cross is all-important, and because Jesus loves Peter, and us.

We tried something new in church this morning: all our songs were sung a capella! The congregational voice was our only instrument as we sang to the Lord.

We want to know your thoughts! Did you miss the instruments, or enjoy without? What was your favorite hymn we sung, or favorite moment?

In yesterday's sermon, Rev. Ben preaches on this difficult text about Jesus' ministry to the Canaanite woman, and the Gospel coming to the Gentiles. As this desperate woman comes in faith, Jesus' seeming rejection is actually an invitation to show the deeper grounds of faith--humble, persistent trust in Him.

Would we, by faith, today behold the King in His beauty.

Happy Transfiguration Day!

A Collect for The Transfiguration of Our Lord Jesus Christ from the 2019 Book of Common Prayer: O God, who on the holy mount revealed to chosen witnesses your well-beloved Son, wonderfully transfigured, in raiment white and glistening: Mercifully grant that we, being delivered from the disquietude of this world, may by faith behold the King in his beauty; who with you and the Holy Spirit lives and reigns, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

In Sunday's sermon, Rev. Ben continues the theme from last week about what the church is here for: we are built on the foundation of the apostles and the prophets, with Christ Jesus as our cornerstone. This week, the focus is on the prophetic call of the church, and our call to speak the truth of Christ into a world that is rejecting Him. This will come at a cost, but the Lord himself is our comfort.
