But Jesus called the children to him and said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. Truly I tell you, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it.”

As Kid’s Praise ends for this year, we want to say a big thank you to the volunteers who make it happen. Thank you Sarah, Samantha, Cindy, Danielle, Amber and Beverly for all you do help our children learn about the love of Jesus Christ. May God bless you and your ministry and the children you serve.

This Memorial Day we remember those who gave their lives in service to their nation.

Let us pray: Almighty God, you are our strength and our shield. We give you thanks for the members of our armed forces past and present, and especially for those who have died while serving. May their sacrifices serve the cause of peace, and may our nation be ever grateful for their service. With your wisdom and strength guide our military’s leaders and give to all people a desire for justice and peace. We pray in the name of Jesus Christ, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen.

REMINDER. Flower garden field trip:

We are planning on meeting at Amherst Greenhouse on May 15 at 3:00 pm to pick out some flowers for the garden. Then on Saturday (5/16) morning at 9:00 we will meet at the church to plant seeds and the starts we made. If you can’t make it Saturday we will probably be planting more later in the week. Stay tuned!

Flower garden field trip:
