Celebrating freedom from slavery.
John 8:32 “And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”
Today, here in the USA, we celebrate the end of slavery. That is indeed worthy of celebration. Yet there are many today living in slavery or bo***ge. Addiction to drugs, alcohol, s*x, materialism, success, work or even relationships all drive individuals in a constant quest for more but never really satisfy.
There is an emptiness in life that will never be satisfied through these. It has been stated that there is a God shaped vacuum in the human heart that only He can fill or satisfy.
Are you feeling unfulfilled and unsatisfied no matter what you try or do? May I suggest you give God a chance. Surrender your life to Him, seek Him, follow Him and I believe you will find a peace you have never known.
I’m not talking about religion. I’m talking about a relationship with Jesus, the One who loves you so much that He died on the cross to pay the penalty for your sin and make the way for you to be reconciled to God.
If you repent and put your faith in God, He will set you free and you will be free indeed.
