Elizabeth B. “Liz” Myers, age 85, passed away on Wednesday, August 26, 2026 at her home with her family by her side. She was born March 13, 1941 in Uniontown, daughter of the late Harry and Jeannie Bennett Shockey. Liz was also predeceased by a brother, Thomas Shockey.

Elizabeth graduated from Uniontown High School Class of 1959. She attended Westmoreland Community College where she received a degree in Medical Coding. She was employed at the Uniontown Hospital as a supervisor for the Medical Records Department. She was also a teacher at LBI in Uniontown and Garrett College in Maryland. Liz was a member of the Asbury United Methodist Church in Uniontown. She was active with WVU Uniontown Hospital Volunteers,

Left to cherish Elizabeth’s memory are her sons, Donald (Melissa) Myers of Farmington, PA; Michael (Jennifer) Myers of Chalk Hill, PA; Jeff (Courtney) Myers of Munhall, PA; daughters,
Laura (John) Hansen of Hazard, KY; and Tracey (Timothy) Greer of Marion, OH. She is also survived by grandchildren, Kaitlin Dillow, Matthew John Hansen, Spencer Hansen, Hannah Greer-Young, Grace Greer, Eliza Greer, and Travis Myers; ten great grandchildren, Jackson, Brooks, Riley, Declan Greer, Declan Myers, McKenna, Creighton, Finn, Holden and Emeryn; and special friends, Cindy Jones and Vicki Beasley.


Arrangements have been entrusted to the ANDREW D. FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME, 80 Morgantown St., Uniontown, PA where family and friends will be received on Monday, August 31, 2026 from 2 until 7 PM. A service celebrating Liz's life will be held Tuesday, September 1, 2026 in Asbury United Methodist Church, Uniontown, PA at 10 AM with Rev. Ryan Washabaugh officiating. Interment will be private.
