Because of the winter storm that is expected to bring heavy snow, strong winds, and dangerous travel conditions on Sunday, we are cancelling our service and Sunday School for this week. Your safety matters to us, and we do not want anyone on the roads during hazardous conditions.
Even though we will not be gathering in the building, we encourage everyone to take a few moments on Sunday to pray, read the Word, and rest in the Lord’s presence. Psalm 46:1 in the Amplified Bible reminds us that God is our refuge and strength, a very present and well‑proved help in trouble. And Isaiah 26:3 tells us that He will keep in perfect and constant peace the one whose mind is steadfast because they trust in Him.
A little devotional thought for you for this weekend:
Storms have a way of slowing us down, and sometimes that is exactly where God meets us. When the world outside feels unsettled, the Lord invites us to settle our hearts in Him. His peace is not dependent on the weather, the roads, or our plans. His peace comes from His presence. As you stay home and stay warm, take a moment to breathe deeply, open your Bible, and remember that God is near. He is faithful in every season, and He watches over His people with love and care.
We look forward to gathering together again next Sunday. Thank you, and God bless you.
