Happy Father’s Day! If you want to make your Dad really happy, come to church with him this Sunday! Morning Worship is at 10:30am and Sunday School for all ages is at 9:30am. Lauren Stein will serve as worship leader and will bring the morning prayer, Bill Dean will have a story for the children, and Pam Jacobs will share on the piano. Kevin and Wanda O’Brien will have special music for us. Pastor Ed Moore’s sermon is titled, “Why Are Christians Such Bad Tippers,” and is based on Matthew 10. JUST A GENTLE REMINDER!

ANNUAL CONFERENCE 2026 WITNESS TO THE HOST CITY - Each year the Church of the Brethren Annual Conference makes an effort to have a positive impact in the community where conference is being held by supporting local organizations. This year they are collecting items for Benefit Alive Community Outreach. If you would like to help, donations will be accepted through this Sunday, June 21, 2026, and can be dropped off in the mixing area. The items needed are listed below. The Peace Scholarship Committee is very happy to announce that we have awarded four $500 Peace Scholarships this year. These scholarships are offered to students committed to peace and social justice and are made possible through the generosity of Mabel Boger, a lifetime member of our church. Mabel was an educator in the Laurel Highlands and Albert Gallatin School Districts from 1923 through 1968. The recipients are Colie Darr, Albert Gallatin Area High School; Brighten Spector, FCCTI; Lucia Baker, Laurel Highlands High School; and Joss Rutter, Uniontown Area High School. We send our congratulations and prayers to all of the 2026 Peace Scholarship recipients!

This Sunday we hope you will join us at 10:30am as we worship together on this Pentecost Sunday. Pentecost is known as the birthday of the Christian church. Falling 50 days after Easter (and deriving from the Greek word pentēkostē, which means “fiftieth”), it marks the fulfillment of Jesus’s promise to send the Holy Spirit to His followers as a helper and a guide. Pastor Ed Moore will bring the message, “Hot Air or the Holy Spirit,” based on Acts 2:1-13. Pastor Bob Stein will serve as worship leader, and Gary Ainsley will bring the morning prayer. We will have a special time of remembrance to honor those of our congregation who passed away during this past year. We offer Sunday School for all ages at 9:30am, and during worship we have a children’s ministry that meets on the lower level, and a staffed nursery for littles up to age 5. We had a great time today at the MOTHER - DAUGHTER LUNCHEON! Lots of good food and great fellowship! Thank you to the Sisters in Spirit Core Team, Kelly Galand, Cheryl Kalivoda, Judy Means, Rose Ozanich, Pam Soisson, Lauren Stein, Sandy Stein, Krista Thompson, Paula Works, for their delicious cookies for our cookie table and all their hard work! Special thanks to Lauren Stein and Kayla Wilson for putting together a wonderful video celebrating Women’s Fellowship throughout the years!
