Sundays aren’t about perfect people or perfect lives. They’re about real people, showing up as they are, carrying what they’ve been through, and encountering a God who still calls them His.

We gather not because we have it all figured out, but because grace keeps meeting us right where we are.

A room full of “mismatched” lives…
being held together by something greater.
Healing. Restoring. Reminding us who we are.

If it’s been a while, this is your reminder…

This Memorial Day, we pause to remember.

We remember the lives that were given, the families who still carry the weight of loss, and the freedom we often take for granted. We honor those who never made it home.

And in the middle of remembrance, we also remember this truth…. God is still near, and His arms are still open.

If life has pulled you away…
If grief has been heavy…
If you’ve felt distant, distracted, or just disconnected…

Come back to church.

Not to a perfect place, but to a place of hope.
Not to pressure, but to peace.
Not to judgment, but to Jesus.

Because even in our remembering, God is still restoring. Still healing. Still calling people home.

This Memorial Day, we honor the past…
but we also choose to step into hope for today.

There’s a seat for you.
There’s grace for you.
There’s a home for you here.

To the misfits… the ones who feel out of place… the ones who think they don’t belong

You’re exactly who this is for. 🤍

Church isn’t a room full of perfect people.
It’s a room full of imperfect, messy, still-growing people who have simply decided to trust God and keep showing up anyway.

We’re not here pretending.
We’re not here judging.
We’re here learning how to love, God and people, better every single day.

This isn’t just a building.
It’s a place to call home.

A place where you can breathe.
A place where you can be known.
A place where you don’t have to have it all together to be welcomed in.

Today we celebrate the beautiful life and legacy of our founding pastor, Pastor Florence McNutt, on what would have been her birthday. ❤️

It’s hard to put into words how much she is still missed. Pastor Florence loved people deeply, loved the Word of God, and gave her life to building a church where anyone could come feel the presence of Jesus. She never met a stranger, and so many of us can still hear her voice, remember her prayers, and feel the love she carried for this community.

Through her faith, sacrifice, and countless prayers, she helped lay the foundation for the Gospel to be preached throughout the Twin City area. What started with a calling in her heart became a place that has touched generations of lives. Because she said “yes” to God, many people found hope, healing, and salvation.

Her fingerprints are still all over this church and this community. Every worship service, every gathering, every life changed by the power of God is part of the legacy she left behind.

While we miss her more than words can say, we are so thankful for the years we were blessed to have her.

Happy Heavenly Birthday, Pastor Florence. Thank you for loving God, loving people, and showing us what true faithfulness looks like. Your life still speaks. 💚🌱
