These four days were unhurried.
And that’s exactly where their value was.

We painted an icon. Sometimes in silence.
Sometimes with conversation — and also quietly, with laughter, with music, and with prayer.

It was a process — not just about the final result.
About patience. About attention. About an open heart.

Each of us took our icon home.
Some placed it in their own room.
Some gave it to someone who needed it more right now.

And there’s something so beautiful about that — when the process matters more than the outcome.

Thank you, Ivanna.
For your calm presence. For your patience. For teaching us to trust both our hands and our hearts.

Today was the first and a very long day.
Most of us had not held a paintbrush in our hands for a long time.
But today, not only our hands were working — our hearts were opening too.
We were writing an icon, and for all of us it was the first time.
Thank you to the talented Ivanna for her support and guidance.
There are three more days ahead, and we will definitely share the results.

🕙 10:00 am – Sesquicentennial Church Service in Mackey Hall.
