What is necessary to preach Christ? All one needs is to have a living encouter with the living God.

If you are in Christ he has put a new song in your mouth with an unshakable identity so that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who has called you out of darkness.

Easter at FBC Tyrone

If you don't have a church home to attend this Easter season, we invite you to join ours. We will celebrate the willing sacrifice of Jesus the Christ and his defeating of death through his resurrection.

On Palm Sunday at 10:45(March 29th) we will look at the burial of Jesus proving that he had died.

On Good Friday at 5pm (April 3rd) we will consider what it means for us.

On Easter Sunday (April 5th) we will celebrate the empty tomb with a Sunrise Service at 7:15am and consider the resurrection from Mark 16:1-8.

In our second session, Laramie Minga from Ramah Baptist Church and the G3 Network does a wonderful job of helping us understand The Battle of the Mind from Psalm 42-43.

Why are you cast down, O my soul,
and why are you in turmoil within me?
Hope in God; for I shall again praise him,
my salvation and my God. (Psalm 42:11)

In our first session of the Hidden Sadness series we acknowledge that Depression is real but there is Hope for the one going through it. Do not look inward for the rescue you need from the darkness. Jesus is the light and in him there is no darkness, run to him.

This past Sunday, we reflected on what it meant for Jesus to bear away our sins, seen most vividly in his deep sorrow in the Garden of Gethsemane. There, he confided in his three closest friends, “My soul is exceedingly sorrowful, even to the point of death,” and cried out to the Father, “Abba, Father, remove this cup from me. Yet not what I will, but what you will.”

In that moment, it became clear that it was indeed “the will of the LORD to crush him” (Isaiah 53:10), as he willingly suffered for our sins.

In the garden we see the crushing before the cross.

We are excited to invite you to our upcoming Sunday Evenings, running from February 15 through March 15. During this time, we will be intentionally speaking the hope of Christ into the very real struggles of depression and anxiety.

If you feel ill-equipped but have a desire to help—or if you yourself are walking through darkness—you are warmly invited to join us as we seek to Make Sense of a Troubled Soul together.

Sundays | 4:30–5:45 PM

Children’s activities will be available for ages 0 through 5th grade, featuring high-energy games, engaging teaching, and a welcoming space where kids can build friendships and feel at home.
