Youth Volunteers Needed for Sunday School!

Do you enjoy working with kids? Are you looking for a meaningful way to serve at church? We'd love to have you join our Sunday School team!

We're looking for youth volunteers in 6th grade and older to assist our Sunday School teachers during the 9:00 a.m. service. As a youth helper, you'll build relationships with younger children, assist with activities, games, crafts, and help create a welcoming environment where kids can grow in their faith.

No teaching experience is needed—just a willing heart and a desire to share the love of Jesus!

If you're interested in serving or would like to learn more, please contact Heather Brannock at [email protected] . We'd love to have you on our team!

WILL YOU HELP PLANT SEEDS OF FAITH?
Some of the most important moments in a child's faith journey happen in Sunday School. A kind smile, a listening ear, a Bible story shared with love—God uses these simple moments to help children know that they are deeply loved by Him. We're looking for adults who are willing to serve as Sunday School teachers during our 9:00 a.m. service and share the love of Jesus with the next generation. You don't need to be a Bible expert or a gifted teacher. We provide all of the lesson plans and materials, and every classroom has at least one youth assistant, so you'll never serve alone. All you need is a willing heart and a desire to help children discover God's love. Could God be calling you to make an eternal difference in a child's life this year? If you're interested in serving or would like to learn more, we'd love to talk with you! Contact Heather Brannock at [email protected] for more information.

Summertime is here, so it’s time to gear up for some awesome family fun! As your family travels near and far, use these amazingly fun family adventures to infuse faith into your journey.

Family Adventure #5: P.R.A.Y. Everyday

Throughout the week, pray using this acronym. It will help you remember to watch for God everywhere you go!

Praise: Tell God what you love about him.
Repent: Tell God you’re sorry for what you’ve done wrong and ask for his help to do better.
Ask God for something.
Yay!: Celebrate God and all the things he has done for us.

P.R.A.Y. everywhere you go this week!

Listen to Season 1, Episode 34 of the Gospel Adventures Show (“DJ Noahnator”) to find out more about prayer. https://www.gospeladventures.org/show-season-1.asp

Family Adventure #4: Cross Roads

This family adventure can be done just about anywhere—in the car, at the beach, on a hike, or at home! Find items around you to make a cross, then take a picture of it. See how many crosses your family can make during the week, using different materials. Share your cross pictures on this post!

Listen to Season 1, Episode 28 of the Gospel Adventures Show (“The Slither Stroke”) to explore what the cross means for you. https://www.gospeladventures.org/show-season-1.asp

Family Adventure #3: Not I!

This is a great game for a road trip. Answer questions like the ones below. The catch? No one can use the words “I” or “me!”

• Tell about the most fun thing we’ve done as
a family.
• Tell about the coolest place you’ve ever been.
• Talk about a silly dream you had.
• Tell about what you want to do when you grow up.
• Talk about a choice you’ve made.

Then read James 1:5: “If you need wisdom, ask our generous God, and he will give it to you. He will not rebuke you for asking.” Remember to turn to God, not “me” or “I” when you
need wisdom!

For more about how God gives us wisdom, listen to Season 1, Episode 25 of the Gospel Adventures Show (“Fruity Cooties”).

Family Adventure #2: Lights Out!

Spend an evening in the dark. Turn off all the lights and find ways to have fun in the dark! For example, play an extra challenging game of hide-and-seek or hot-and-cold. Maybe tell jokes or funny stories, or sing songs together. The (night) sky’s the limit! Just before bed, turn the lights on and celebrate the power we have through the Holy Spirit. Just like the lights show us the
things around us, the Holy Spirit’s power can show us what we need to do!

Listen to Season 1, Episode 12 of the Gospel Adventures Show (“A Well-Done Plate of Earmuffs”) to learn more about the Holy Spirit’s power.

Family Adventure #1: Keep a Sheep

Grab a cotton ball or (clean) crumpled tissue and make it your family’s pet sheep for the week. Give it a name and show it love. Wherever you go, take your sheep with you (sheep can’t be left alone!) and make sure it stays safe and clean.

Listen to Season 1, Episode 8 of the Gospel Adventures Show (“Ben’s Not a German Shepherd”) to learn how God cares for us
like a shepherd—just as you’re caring for your cotton-ball sheep.
