LAST NIGHT’S RECAP:

We enjoyed one another.
We enjoyed the game.
Then we dove into Haggai 1 and called it:

STEP ON THE ICE.

INSPECT: “Give careful thought to your ways.”
Stop. Look. Be honest. What’s working? What’s not? What has God been trying to show you?

CATCH FIRE: “The Lord stirred up the spirit…”
You don’t need hype. You need the Lord to wake up what He already placed inside you.

EXECUTE: Drop what He shows you isn’t working and take off after what He tells you to do.

Prayer. Fellowship. Hockey. Scripture. Real life.

That’s church in a bar.

This month at House of Worship was a reminder that church is not a place we attend, it’s a people becoming devoted to Jesus and one another.

From fellowship and worship to church in a bar, Las Vegas outreach, Chase Field gospel encounters, and unscripted Sunday gatherings, God keeps moving in ways we could never plan.

No stage | No performance | No programs

Just Scripture, prayer, fellowship, meals, worship, and ordinary people learning to follow Jesus together.

Loving God, Loving people and Sharing the gospel leads to becoming the church, carrying the Cross and expanding the Kingdom.

The book of Haggai starts with people delaying what God told them to build.

Then the word of the Lord comes and something inside wakes up.

“The Lord stirred their spirit.”
- Haggai 1:14

The stirring isn’t random.
God calls us to rebuild what matters.
Be stirred. Get to work.

The loudest guy in the section wasn’t the problem. He was the assignment.

Jake was fired up, yelling at the game, probably a few beers deep… but underneath all that noise was a guy wondering if anybody was actually coming to help.

In Haggai 1:14, Scripture says, “So the Lord stirred up the spirit…”

That phrase has been sitting with me. Sometimes what we need most isn’t more information, more motivation, or more pressure. We need the Lord to stir something in us again.

To wake up what has grown tired.
To breathe on what has become dull.
To awaken desire where there has been distraction.
To move us from delay into obedience.

Pray this week:

Lord, stir my spirit.

Stir me toward You.
Stir me toward others.
Stir me toward obedience.
Stir what has gone quiet.
Awaken what You put inside me.

Because when the Lord stirs the spirit, we begin to move again.

Enjoy Memorial Day with your family and friends, and take time to remember and honor those who gave their lives in service to our country.
