People in our congregation hold different beliefs about many things, but gather with a passion to serve Jesus Christ as his disciples. Our church is committed to Christian service locally and around the world. Education is an important way we l

earn together. Our worship is traditional, lively, and personal, exploring the practice of faith in the complexities of contemporary life. It was a joy to welcome “the Lutherans” who came to serve Polk County through home repair as part of continued Helene Recovery. Thankful to the many open hearts of the church who hosted, fed and engaged with our guests. Upon leaving they said, “they were spoiled” by the hospitality. Thanks be to God!

Today, we gathered and celebrated the fathers in our congregation with the singing of “Down by the River to Pray.”

The church grounds have become quite the hub of wildlife activity this week with bear, cubs, deer and fawns. They must have heard that we are a family church too. (Though sometimes it’s a little too close for comfort for the creatures in the manse.)
