Holy Cross Church Tryon NC Sunday Services
8:00 AM in the chapel (no music)
10:30 AM (organ & choir) We use the Episcopal Book of Common Prayer and the Episcopal 1982 Hymnal.

Our early service in the chapel is quiet and reverent with no music. Our later service includes choir and organ and is a rich and beautiful liturgical service. We are a vibrant and friendly congregation that loves to fellowship, live in community together, and worship in the beauty of holiness.

JENNIFER MILLS

After 35 years in broadcasting, I found a new passion in painting. It is a hobby that brings me great joy…happiness I hope to share with others who enjoy my work. Each piece begins with a small cross, a way to offer thanks for another day, the beauty around us and a new adventure on canvas.

I paint en plein air… in French, “in the open air” as well as in my studio. My primary medium is oil but I also dabble with acrylics if the mood hits. Always a student, I adore going to workshops to learn from some of my favorite artists/instructors. Learning, growing and trying to become better at my craft motivates me greatly.

I’m honored to be invited to share my work with you here at Holy Cross. I hope these walls will bring smiles and generate conversation over the coming months.

Jennifer’s work can be found at The Wrinkled Egg in Flat Rock.

“I absolutely love how Jennifer captures the light, color and beauty of our magnificent mountains and draws us into them with her paintings.”
–Virginia Spigener, Owner, The Wrinkled Egg

“Jennifer is grounded by an inner peace, mountaintop views that stretch endlessly, and faith deep within her soul that unleashes softly told stories that are rich in texture and colorful in emotions.
–James McCabe, Award-Winning Writer
