We had an excellent turnout for Friday's tree care service project at Woodland Park! A crew of 50—including 40 volunteers, 4 tree commissioners, and 6 city workers—came together to beautify the park. Thank you to the City of Perrysburg for letting us work with you for this year's National Day of Service!

Remembering those who lost their lives and made heroic sacrifices on this day 25 years ago.

National Day of Service on 9/11 - Come learn how to trim trees while helping preserve the beauty of Woodland park's Avenue of Trees!

Who: All ages and abilities welcome!

When: Friday, Sept 11th 4:00pm-6:00pm (come when you can)

Where: Woodland Park (429 East Boundary Street, Perrysburg) at the east side of the park near the Picnic Pavilion

What: All work materials and instruction provided. Bring friends and family, bring a picnic dinner to eat afterward at the Picnic Pavillion. The weather forecast looks great.

Back in June, children in local congregations of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints held a "birthday box" drive to collect candles, cake mix, sprinkles, frosting, and more to deliver to area food pantries. The children made over 180 birthday boxes! It’s heartwarming to think of the smiles their kindness will bring to other kids just like them!

Exciting announcement from Salt Lake! The Salt Lake City Temple open house will happen April 5 - October 1 of 2027. Book your tickets now for this incredible opportunity! These tours are open to the public and are completely free.

If you are interested in touring a Latter-day Saint temple but can't make it all the way to Utah, you can look forward to the Grand Rapids, MI Temple open house in the near future. This temple is still being constructed, but once the temple is complete, a public open house will be held similar to the one held recently for the Cleveland Ohio Temple.

For the National Day of Service coming up on 9/11, the Urban Forester for the city of Perrysburg will be teaching volunteers the basics of tree trimming to help care for a local memorial project. The City of Perrysburg bicentennial project "Avenue of Trees" was installed around 2016 and is coming up on its 10 year mark. Join us in trimming, edging and mulching this Northwest Ohio resource so it can continue to grow and flourish, providing local peace and inspiration for years to come.

A beautiful event coming up on Sunday! The new Cleveland Ohio will be dedicated, after which it will be open for members of the Church of Jesus Christ to come worship, serve, and make covenants with God. Many members of the Church in NW Ohio traveled east to Cleveland to tour the new temple during its open house in June and July.

What a joy to help out at the Helping Hands of St. Louis ShoeFest! Latter-day Saints from several congregations in NW Ohio made their way to East Toledo on Saturday and helped with carnival games, face painting, washing feet, fitting shoes, and shuttling volunteers to and from the ShoeFest site. Thank you to everyone who came together to serve our community!
