There comes a point in parenting where loving your children also means accepting that some things simply are not yours to control.

In Part 4 of The Power of a Praying Mama, Teri talks about what surrender can actually look like when your child’s choices, circumstances, health, faith, or future are outside your hands.

We may not be responsible for the outcome, but we are still responsible for how we respond, how we love, how we pray, and how faithfully we live.

Plant what God has given you to plant. Water what He has given you to water. And trust Him with the growth. 🤍

One of the hardest parts of loving our children is trusting God with the parts of their story we would never choose for them.

In Part 3 of The Power of a Praying Mama, Teri talks about the difference between protecting our children and trying to control every hard thing they walk through. Sometimes our role is to step in. Sometimes it is to step back, pray for wisdom, and trust that God can use even the difficult places to shape their faith and draw them closer to Him.

Maybe the prayer becomes less, “Keep them from anything hard,” and more, “Lord, whatever they walk through, don’t waste it.”

Keep praying for what God will do in them and through them. 🤍

Part 4 is next: what happens when our children grow up and we can no longer control the direction their lives take.

Sometimes the moments we would have edited out are the exact ones God uses.

What happened on that stage has now reached far beyond the room it happened in, and the response has reminded us just how many mothers are carrying prayers for their children, their families, and the generations coming after them.

The power of a praying mother!

Teri & Debbie’s mom looks at what God has done through her daughters and reminds us never to stop praying for what He may do in our children’s lives. We may not always see where those prayers are leading, but God does.

Teri is the founder and president of 58 Foundation and the visionary behind MORE. She will also speak during Saturday’s 2027 conference. Debbie serves as Spiritual Care Director for 58 Foundation and will help lead the Friday Night Even MORE Experience through biblical teaching and encouragement.

What started as the shared vision of a small group of women has grown into a regional gathering for women across the Midwest and beyond. Today, MORE brings women from different churches, generations, backgrounds, and seasons of life together at the Tinley Park Convention Center to hear truth, worship, laugh, connect, and remember they are not walking alone. We will gather there again April 16–17, 2027.

One of our additions to MORE this year was Friday night. 🤍

We wanted to create space for women to slow down, connect, and go a little deeper before Saturday began. The evening was filled with worship, powerful messages, small group discussions, prayer, and meaningful conversations with women from all walks of life.
