Immediately Jesus stretched out his hand and caught Peter, and said to him, 'O you of little faith, why did you doubt?'" (From Today's Gospel, Matthew 14:22-33, on the 19th Sunday in Ordinary Time).

"And he was transfigured before them; his face shone like the sun and his clothes became white as light" (From Today's Gospel, Matthew 17:1-9, on the Feast of the Transfiguration of the Lord).

Feast of the Transfiguration of the Lord, when Christ Jesus, the beloved Only Begotten Son of the Eternal Father, in the presence of the holy Apostles Peter, James, and John, with the Law and the Prophets as witnesses, made his glory manifest, so that, in the humility of our servile form which he took to himself, he might signify our glorious renewal through grace, and the image of God, in which man was created, once deformed in Adam and reformed in Christ, might be proclaimed even to the ends of the earth.
