Election Day Prayer Gathering – November 3 from 8a-8p
Does anyone wish that election day was just over already? I know that many of us do. And yet, there is a piece of us that whispers that there is more that we can do…that we should do. As people of faith, we are called to love others (John 15:12), to pray for our leaders (1 Timothy 2:1-2), and to live in unity (Ephesians 4:3).
It is from this place that I am inviting and encouraging all of to gather on Election Day to pray, not for any particular candidate or political cause, but to come together in the presence of God. We will be extending this opportunity to the other local Reformed Church as well.
We will be open from 8a – 8p for everyone to gather in prayer. And we need your help. We need 24 individuals to commit to being at Three Bridges for (at least) 30 minutes during the 12 hours will be focusing our prayer. Click on the link below to commit to serving for one of these 30-minute slots. Anyone (and everyone!) else who would like to be there (beyond the 24 30-minute slots) are encouraged to be there at your convenience, or, at the very least, commit to praying for our community and country from a location that is convenient for you. Prayer prompts and stations will be available for those who desire them or feel that they wouldn’t know how to pray for 30 minutes. Check out the attached document fully explaining the gathering and click on the signup link below to participate! We do this together.
