Our Mission of the Season for April, May and June is Family Promise of Hunterdon County whose mission is to advocate for families and individuals experiencing homelessness..

So today, on National Paperclip Day, we’re reminded that even the smallest things can help hold lives together.
And for every small act of compassion our community gives… thank you.

There's a moment in this Sunday's sermon that might stop you.
Pastor Annalee Davis stood at the pulpit and read aloud something her son Larry wrote in the dedication of his doctoral thesis.
He thanked his wife. He thanked his daughters for years of sermon feedback on Sunday afternoons.

And then he wrote: "To my mom, Annalee, for leading me to Jesus and showing how faith perseveres."

Larry is a pastor in Maine. He earned his doctorate from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary after nine years of study. And the root of it all was a mother who kept trusting, kept praying, and never stopped living her faith out loud.

That is what Sunday's message was really about. The prayers. The long drives. The moments we think don't count.

They do. It is kingdom work.

Sometimes the best nights are the simple ones… good food, sitting outside on a summer evening, and spending time with kind people who make you feel welcome.

The women of Readington Reformed Church are getting together for our annual Women’s Ministries Potluck Picnic on Monday, June 1st at 6:00 PM, and we’d really love for you to come.

If you’ve been wanting to meet some new people, get out a little more, or just enjoy a relaxed night of fellowship and conversation, this is such a nice evening to join us. No pressure, no fuss — just women gathering together, sharing food, laughing, and enjoying community.

And honestly… the strawberry shortcake dessert has become a tradition all on its own over the years 🍓

If you missed worship this Sunday, we invite you to take a few moments and join us online.

This Pentecost Sunday at Readington Reformed Church, Rev. Robert Fretz shared a meaningful message about the work of the Holy Spirit in our lives and the reminder that every person has gifts that can bring hope, encouragement, compassion, and faith into the world.

Through scripture from Acts 2 and 1 Corinthians 12, we reflected on how the church is made stronger when people come together in worship, service, and community.

Whether you are searching for encouragement, a church home, or simply a quiet moment of faith during your week, we hope this service blesses you.

Today the sun finally came out, so we headed into the cemetery to place Memorial Day flags in honor of those who served our country 🇺🇸

We also decided it was time to place flags in front of the church as we begin looking ahead to the 250th anniversary of our nation. With some graves in our cemetery dating back to the Revolutionary War, it’s a reminder of just how much history lives here in our community.

Keep watching in the coming weeks for details about our community picnic and anniversary festivities. ❤️

Every year before Memorial Day, the men of our Building and Grounds & Cemetery Committee walk the grounds of our historic cemetery — placing American flags on graves that go back to the Revolutionary War. Over the years, the scouts have helped as well.

They’ve been doing this for years. Quietly. Faithfully. Without a spotlight.

This year come help us. It may be rainy but the job will still be done. Help us make sure our history isn’t forgotten. Flag placement Sunday immediately after church approximately 10:30. Might need a raincoat or umbrella!

We are grateful. 🇺🇸

There are moments when life feels very quiet — and not in a peaceful way. When you've sent the text and haven't heard back. When the house feels too big. When you wonder if anyone is paying attention.

Sunday's message was called "I Am All Alone" — and Rev. Fretz spoke directly to that feeling.

Not to dismiss it. But to remind us of what the disciples discovered after Jesus ascended: that being left is not the same as being abandoned. That God does not disappear when things go quiet. That even when our faith feels thin, there is One who remains.

"I am not alone, for the Father is with me." — John 17

None of us are.

If you missed worship Sunday, we'd love to see you this Sunday at 9:30 AM.

All are welcome, always.

Family Promise of Hunterdon County is our Mission of the Season for April, May, and June.

Some families in Hunterdon County are one emergency away from having nowhere to go.

For over 30 years, Readington Reformed Church has walked alongside Family Promise of Hunterdon County — the only residential support center for children and families experiencing homelessness in our county.

Not just a check. Not just a line item in a budget.

Thirty years of showing up. Of believing that a family in crisis deserves more than a bed for the night — they deserve a path back to stability.

That's what Family Promise does. And that's why we support them.
