There is just something special about Youth Sunday! 🙌🤍

Throughout the entire month of August, our church family has been worshiping together with “Echo Holy.” Week after week, we’ve been reminded of the picture Scripture gives us of heaven, countless voices joining together in worship of the One who is worthy.

And since we were blessed with a 5th Sunday in August, our youth helped us present it one more time. ❤️

What a beautiful way to close out the month, watching the next generation step forward and worship the same Jesus we are teaching them to follow.

As Bro. Tracy reminded us shortly after in Psalm 34:1-3 I will bless the LORD at all times; his praise shall continually be in my mouth. 2 My soul makes its boast in the LORD; let the humble hear and rbe glad.
3 Oh, magnify the LORD with me, and let us exalt his name together!

But we’re not finished! 👀🎶

As we step into September, our amazing CBC Worship Team will be introducing a NEW SONG for our church family to learn and worship through together.

We love that worship isn’t simply something we sing on Sunday, it is something we are teaching the next generation to live. Thank you to our youth for helping lead us today, and thank you CBC for singing loud all month long.

One generation declaring His works to another.
One church. One voice. One worthy King. 🙌

Happy Birthday to our shepherd, Bro. Tracy! 🎉🎂

We are so thankful for a pastor who doesn’t just preach the Word from the pulpit, but shows up in the everyday moments too, from Sunday mornings to the ball field and everywhere in between.

Thank you for loving your church family, investing in the next generation, praying for us, encouraging us, and faithfully pointing people back to Jesus. The impact of a shepherd is often found in moments just like this one by simply being present. ❤️

🚨THIS Wednesday🚨

In today’s message, Brother Tracy walks through Simon of Cyrene, the man unexpectedly pulled from the crowd and COMPELLED to carry the cross of Jesus.

Simon was simply passing by when his plans were interrupted by an encounter with Christ. What may have felt like an unwanted interruption became a moment that would forever connect his name and his family to the story of Jesus.

Through Mark 15:21–22, John 19:17, Psalm 119:116, Mark 8:38, Romans 10:8, and 2 Corinthians 5:14, we’re challenged to consider what happens when God interrupts our plans.

Are we willing to carry the cross when it costs us something?

Sometimes what looks like an interruption is actually a divine interruption. God may interrupt our schedules, comfort, or expectations because He is trying to get our full attention.

Simon’s story also reminds us that our encounter with Jesus can reach beyond us. The reputation and testimony we leave behind matter.

When God interrupts your plans, will you resist the interruption or recognize that He may be inviting you into something far greater?

This Sunday is Promotion Sunday, and we’re excited to celebrate our kids as they move into their new Sunday School classes!

Team Kid
✨ Pre-K & Kindergarten
✨ 1st & 2nd Grade
✨ 3rd & 4th Grade

Club 56
✨ 5th & 6th Grade

Youth
✨7th - 12th

If your child has completed the older grade in their current class, they will move up to their new class THIS SUNDAY! Parents, please remember that you’ll pick them up from their new classroom following Sunday School and/or Children’s Church.

Sunday School 9:45am-11am
Worship Service 11am-12pm

And we’re especially excited for our students who have completed 6th grade as they step into the next season of ministry with our Youth Pastor, Brandan Verm! 🙌

Promotion Sunday is more than moving classrooms, it’s a sweet reminder that our kids are growing, and we have the privilege as a church family to continue pointing them toward Jesus every step of the way.

“And Jesus increased in wisdom and in stature and in favor with God and man.” Luke 2:52

We’re thankful for every teacher, volunteer, parent, and ministry leader who pours into the next generation at CBC. ❤️
