Join us for the 11th Annual Heroes Day Celebration as we come together to honor those who serve our community today and remember the brave individuals who gave their lives in the line of duty.
This year marks 25 years since 9/11, and we stand united in our promise: We Will Never Forget.
• When: September 13, 2026, at 11:00 AM
• Where: Living Proof Church | 1207 East Navasota, Groesbeck, TX
• Special Lunch: A complimentary brisket dinner will follow immediately after the services!
We are proud to stand alongside and show our deep gratitude to our local first responders, active military and veterans. Let’s pack the house to show our local heroes just how much they mean to Groesbeck! Bring your family, friends and neighbors, and don’t forget to stay for the free brisket lunch following the service.

🍖 Calling all Pitmasters ! 🍖
It’s that time once again for the 11th Annual Heroes Day Brisket Cook-Off! Whether you are a seasoned pitmaster or just love great food, you won't want to miss this weekend of smoking, cooking, and community.

Details
• When: September 12–13, 2026
• Where: 1207 East Navasota, Groesbeck, TX
• Setup Begins: Saturday at 9:00 AM
• Turn-In Deadline: Sunday by 12:00 PM

Prizes: Think your brisket reigns supreme? Prove it and take home some serious cash:
• 1st Place: $500 🥇
• 2nd Place: $300 🥈
• 3rd Place: $200 🥉

Rules
• Entry Fee: 1 Brisket
• The Catch: Contestants must be willing to cook 3 additional church-provided briskets for the hero’s day lunch.
• Location: All meat must be cooked on-site.
• Rules: Judging criteria will be available the day before the contest.
