After having three surgeries on his shoulders, and with both shoulders immobilized, Lisa could really use some help as she helps Dan recover.

Dear Friends,

Many of you are aware that Dan Salveter suffered a stroke and brain bleed on July 15th while in Croatia with a group including Lisa, Lisa’s sister, and her husband. The past two and a half weeks have been incredibly difficult for Dan and Lisa. A medical emergency is overwhelming under any circumstances, but navigating it in a foreign country has made every step more challenging.

Members of Grace UMC and Thomasville First Methodist Church have stayed in close contact with Lisa and have been sharing updates as they become available. Our two church families are now working together to provide consistent communication about Dan’s condition and to let everyone know how they can support the Salveter family.

Yesterday we received some encouraging news. Dan is being released from the hospital and his journey home will begin on Thursday. There will be at least two or possibly three legs to the flight. A medical es**rt will be with them, but Lisa has asked for prayers that “Dan’s physical body will have the strength it needs and that he can overcome all the issues he will face during travel”.

Many of you have asked how you can help. While there are still many unknowns about the weeks and months ahead, it is clear that the Salveters will face significant medical and travel related expenses. If you would like to help financially, there are two ways to give:

An account has been established in Lisa Salveter’s name and is designated as the “Medical Expense Account”. You can go to a local branch with that information and they can help you make a deposit. Please go into the branch and not the drive thru as it could take extra time for the tellers to complete the deposit.

CAPITOL BELLS IN CONCERT 🔔

St. Thomas & Grace UMC will host the semi-professional bell choir as they perform various styles of handbell music. This concert will feature movie themes, Broadway show tunes, and opera. It will be a family-friendly concert that is educational and entertaining.
