What a splendid gift Pentecost is!

Pentecost reminds us that God did not leave us alone. Through the Holy Spirit, we are empowered, comforted, guided, and sustained every day. The same Spirit that filled the early church continues to abide with believers today, giving us strength for the journey, wisdom for life's decisions, and peace in uncertain times.

Join us at Walker Memorial Baptist Church as we worship in the power and presence of the Holy Spirit. Come expecting God to move, speak, and renew your spirit.

"The Helper, the Holy Spirit... will teach you all things." (John 14:26)

On Sunday, June 21, we invite fathers, families, and friends to join us for a Father's Day Worship Service as we honor the men who lead, love, guide, and inspire us.

On Sunday, June 21, we invite fathers, families, and friends to gather with us for Father's Day Worship Service as we honor the men who lead, love, guide, and inspire us.

We will also celebrate a remarkable milestone, the 44th Pastoral Anniversary of our Senior Pastor, Rev. Dr. J. Albert Bush Sr. For over four decades, Dr. Bush has faithfully preached the Gospel, shepherded God's people, and impacted countless lives through his leadership and service.

Come help us celebrate faithful fatherhood, faithful leadership, and the faithfulness of God.

Bring your family and worship with us as we give God praise for all He has done!

“Great is the Lord, and most worthy of praise, in the city of our God, His holy mountain.” — Psalm 48:1 NIV

Psalm 48 is a celebration of the greatness, faithfulness, and protection of God.

The psalm points to Mount Zion — the city of God — as a symbol of His presence, His rule, and His unshakable security. Nations may rise and fall, kingdoms may tremble, but God remains steadfast forever.

This chapter reminds us that true peace is not found in walls, wealth, armies, or earthly power…
it is found in the presence of God.

The psalmist calls the people to walk around Zion, look closely at its strength, and tell the next generation what God has done. That same responsibility still belongs to believers today:
to testify of God’s faithfulness,
to proclaim His greatness,
and to remind future generations that the Lord is our refuge forever.

And the psalm ends with this beautiful truth:
“For this God is our God for ever and ever; He will be our guide even to the end.” (Psalm 48:14 NIV)

God is not only mighty…
He is personal.
He is present.
And He remains faithful to His people from generation to generation. 🙏🏾👑🔥

“My heart is stirred by a noble theme as I recite my verses for the king; my tongue is the pen of a skillful writer.” — Psalm 45:1 NIV

Psalm 45 is a song of royalty, beauty, worship, and divine majesty.

It begins with a heart overflowing.
Not forced praise.
Not empty tradition.
But genuine awe inspired by the King.

The writer is so moved that he compares his tongue to the pen of a skillful writer — words flowing passionately because the subject is worthy.

And that sets the tone for the entire psalm.

Psalm 45 celebrates a righteous King:

* majestic in power,
* victorious in truth,
* beautiful in character,
* and eternal in authority.

Historically, the psalm reflects a royal wedding song.
But prophetically, many believers also see it pointing toward Jesus Christ — the ultimate righteous King whose throne lasts forever.

This psalm reminds us that worship is not merely singing songs…
it is the response of a heart truly captivated by God.

When the heart is full of His goodness, praise naturally overflows.

And in a world obsessed with temporary power and fading beauty, Psalm 45 points us toward a Kingdom that is eternal and a King who is perfectly righteous.

May our hearts be stirred again by the greatness of God. 🙏🏾👑🔥

Being a witness of Jesus is more than what you say, it’s how you live.

Your love, your consistency, your faith, and your character may be the only glimpse of Christ someone sees. The question is: what is your life witnessing to others?

God is more than powerful—He is a good Father. 🙏💙

He protects, corrects, provides, listens, comforts, and loves us even when we fall short. Just like a loving parent, God continues to guide us with grace, patience, and mercy.

Take a moment to reflect:
What is one characteristic of God as a Father that you’ve experienced personally?
Was it His protection? His forgiveness? His provision? His unconditional love?

Drop your reflection in the comments and encourage someone else today. 👇✨

Last Sunday, Pastor J. Albert Bush Sr. shared a heartfelt Mother’s Day message honoring the strength, sacrifice, prayers, and unwavering love of mothers everywhere. 💐🙏

From nurturing families to carrying generations through faith, mothers continue to reflect the love and grace of God in powerful ways. We are grateful for every mother, grandmother, spiritual mother, and mother figure who continues to pour into others with wisdom and care.

Take a moment to listen, reflect, and celebrate the women who have helped shape our lives. 💙
