Tweenz is for all 4th & 5th graders and will meet every other Wednesday for faith, friendships, fun, and conversations created especially for their age!

Our kickoff is Wednesday, September 9 at 6:00 PM, and parents are invited to join their Tween for this first night as we go over the schedule, share what to expect, and kick off an exciting year together!

💦 Is your child asking questions about baptism?

During VBS, we had several kiddos tell us they were ready to talk about their next steps in following Jesus — and we want to make space for those conversations! ❤️

We’ll be offering a Baptism Class for kids + parents for anyone who wants to learn more about:
✨ What baptism means
✨ Why we get baptized
✨ What it means to follow Jesus
✨ How to know if you’re ready
✨ What the next step looks like

This class doesn’t mean your child has to be baptized. It’s simply a relaxed place for kids and parents to learn together, ask questions, and better understand what baptism is all about.
Whether your child talked with us during VBS or has recently started asking questions about baptism, we would love for you to join us!

For those children and their parents interested in baptism this fall. Pastor Dennis will provide instruction, answer questions and give guidance. The church-wide baptism will be October 4 at 11:45 a.m.

MTP Kids Ministry is selling mums to raise funds to help pay for shipping for Operation Christmas Child.  It costs $10 per box to ship each box and we have a goal of 500 boxes this year.  Help us support OCC this fall with mums for your porch and landscapes!

🎉 TWEENZ IS KICKING OFF! 🎉
If you have a 4th or 5th grader, we would love for you to join us Wednesday, September 9, at 6 PM

Parents, please plan to attend this first gathering with your Tween. We’ll introduce Tweenz, share what’s planned for the year, and give families an opportunity to ask questions and get connected.

Following kickoff, Tweenz will meet biweekly on Wednesdays from 6–8 PM for faith, friendships, fun, and a place created especially for this important in-between season!

🎒 A little peek inside our Back to School bags! ✏️💛

We wanted to send every kid into this school year with a few fun things, a whole lot of encouragement, and one BIG reminder:

GOD’S GOT YOUR BACK! 🙌

Inside they’ll find a bookmark to color, an encouraging bracelet, backpack keychain, and a Back to School Family Devo with a game, family discussion questions, Joshua 1:9, and a link to God’s Got My Back by Forrest Frank! 🎶

AND… we tucked in two Chick-fil-A treat cards for a little back-to-school treat! 🐔❤️ (Parents—those expire at the end of August, so make sure you use them!)

Our prayer is that every time our kids head out the door this year, they remember:

“Be strong and courageous… for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” — Joshua 1:9

New school year. New adventures. Same faithful God. 💛

This Sunday is Back 2 School Sunday! During 2nd Service, we will start off in the sanctuary with prayer over everyone returning back to school including all students and staff. Kids are welcome to bring their backpacks to be prayed over as well. We will then head downstairs to Kids Connection and Small Wonders for a celebration, take home goodies and a lesson on how God's got our Back! Can't wait to see you Sunday!

Night 5 of VBS is here! Man this week went lightning fast. We are dressing in all white for our GLOW PARTY! Don’t forget to wear your white t-shirt we made Monday. Tonight we are discovering our last "P" Planned. Our Spotlight Question is: Why do I need to respond to Jesus? Answer: Because Jesus is God's PLAN for forgiveness. I'm so excited to dive into our Bible story and find out more.

Last night was AMAZING—we are so close to our $2000 mission goal. We are only $134.02 away from reaching it! I’m amazed with the amount of donations we have received as well our goal was 100 and we went above that with bringing in so far 175 items! Watching these kiddos give with all their heart for others around the world has truly been incredible!
