🏀 Day 1 is in the books! 🙌

What an incredible start to the West Central Indiana FCA Girls Team Varsity Camp! The energy was high from start to finish, and we loved seeing so many families and fans come out to support these student-athletes.

This year, we’re excited to have 8 schools represented:

🏀 South Vermillion
🏀 North Central
🏀 North Vermillion
🏀 Crawfordsville
🏀 Riverton Parke
🏀 West Vigo

Here’s a look at Day 1:
🏆 3-Point Shootout Champion: Terre Haute North #10
🏆 2-Minute Tournament Champion: Princeton A
🏆 Pool play games throughout the day: Winner of pool games decided today!

Guest speaker: Rachel Mount, college basketball athlete who shared her heart for the sport and did a Q + A for the day in the life of an athlete!

We also spent time growing beyond the game through impactful breakout sessions.

Coaches Breakout:
• Shan Smith (Indiana State University FCA Representative) challenged and encouraged our coaches.

Players Breakout:
• Keith Gaddis shared the importance of prioritizing mental health and wellness.
• Brian Huxford and his team taught athletes how proper nutrition equips them to perform at their best on and off the court.

Ended the Night with Team Building: Thank you Cross Tabernacle Church for the facility + Covenant Chapel for providing the food!

A huge THANK YOU to every volunteer, supporter, coach, parent, and sponsor who helped make Day 1 such a success. Your investment is making an eternal impact.
As we head into Day 2, we ask that you continue praying for our athletes, coaches, and volunteers. Pray that lives would be changed, relationships strengthened, and that every participant would experience the love of Christ.

Today wraps up our Girls Team Varsity Camp, and tomorrow we kick off the Boys Team Varsity Camp! We can’t wait to see what God has in store.

What an incredible accomplishment to earn a spot in the state finals. Through hard work, determination, and teamwork, the Lady Patriots have battled their way to Indiana’s biggest softball stage.

This Memorial Day, we pause with grateful hearts and remember the men and women who laid down their lives for our country. 🇺🇸

Today is not just about freedom — it’s about sacrifice. It’s about sons, daughters, fathers, mothers, friends, and brothers who never made it home so others could live in peace.

At FCA, we pray for the families carrying the weight of that loss today. May God bring comfort to the hurting, peace to the grieving, and strength to those remembering loved ones who gave everything in service to others.
