This Sunday June 21, 2026 is Father's Day! Please come out to Dyess Grove Baptist Church for Sunday School at 9:30, Father's Day Service at 10:30, Lord 's Supper, and Father's Day Potluck! The Ladies will bring the special! We have a gift for each man present! Please come and bring a friend or family! Bring your favorite food to share at the Potluck! Everyone is welcome!

Sunday Morning May 31, 2026 was a Beautiful morning with clouds at Dyess Grove Baptist Church. Lana Peteete gave the welcome and opening prayer. We sang Happy Birthday to Linda Cooksey . We sang Happy Anniversary to Bobby Cooksey and Linda Cooksey. They will be celebrating their 60th Anniversary on June 3rd! Lana Peteete led the singing. Larry Cooksey took up the offering. The special was It is Well With My Soul. Bruce Lovesmith gave the sermon. He talked about how he had a father that was a bad man. We all need a Father! He asked GOD to be his Father! GOD answered his prayers! GOD is the good good Father! He talked about taking his dog to the groomer. He built a relationship with the groomer. She eventually talked about how she felt like there was an evil spirit in her house when her husband was not home. She asked his opinion. He told her since her husband was a Christian he had a hedge of protection. When he leaves that hedge of protection is gone. Satan is always looking for a way to get into your mind and your life. Satan is trying to hurt you. He asked her if she had thought about coming to the Family of GOD? She said YES, accepted Jesus and asked for forgiveness of her sins. All the dogs at the groomers started hollering! Just have faith! Repent and humble themselves. Pray He will heal our land! He used a lot of other scriptures as listed! He also told us that latter on his father became a Christian. We collected a lot of items for the Food Pantry in Rogers!

It was a Beautiful Sunday Morning May 24, 2026 at Dyess Grove Baptist Church. Lana Peteete gave the welcome and opening prayer. Lana Peteete led the singing. Larry Cooksey took up the offering. The special was The Potter. Clay Lawhorn gave the sermon. The scripture was 2 Corinthians 4:8-12. He talked about how people are watching you as a Christian. How do you act or react? You are under pressure. Remember a lump of coal under enough pressure becomes a diamond! The next scripture was Psalms 23. GOD is with us. He is our shepherd. Paul wrote Corinthians. People notice what you do! We must get closer to GOD so we know what to do! In times of grief or caregiving we must pray for wisdom, patience and love! In each situation think What Would Jesus Do? Ask our Father to guide us? We need to read, study, and know more about GOD. We need to grow to become that diamond in Heaven. We all need to know Jesus. We need to reflect that Light of Jesus! Do not bend to peer pressure! The sermon was not recorded or posted on the church page! Pray for our church as we start to look for the pastor that the Lord has in mind for Dyess Grove Baptist Church .
