🌿 Palm Sunday: The King We Needed, Not the King We Expected 🌿
On the first Palm Sunday, the crowds welcomed Jesus with cheers and palm branches—expecting a King who would rise up and reshape the world on their terms. But God’s plan challenged every expectation.
This Sunday, Pastor Denise will be teaching from Romans 9:20, a verse that confronts our assumptions and calls us to humility. Palm Sunday reminds us that God is not accountable to our preferences or plans. Jesus entered Jerusalem on a humble donkey 🫏—not a war horse—declaring that His kingdom is shaped by God’s will, not human demands.
Romans 9 calls us to trust the Potter’s wisdom, even when His design looks different than what we imagined. The donkey, a simple beast of burden, reflects a King who came in obedience and a people called to submit, serve, and trust the One who formed them.
Join us as we begin Holy Week by worshiping the King who doesn’t answer to us—but lovingly shapes us according to His perfect purpose.
