Deliverance happens in a moment. Sanctification takes a lifetime. ⏳

We often want God to change everything instantly. One prayer. One moment. One decision—and then we’re done.

But Jesus never promised that following Him would be a one-time decision. In Luke 9:23, He calls us to deny ourselves, take up our cross, and follow Him daily.

When the Israelites left Egypt, God delivered them out of Egypt in a day. But it took 40 years to get Egypt out of them.

Sometimes God changes our circumstances in a moment. But changing what’s happening in us is a process.

This past Sunday, Pastor TJ reminded us that surrender isn’t something we do once and move on from. It’s a daily choice to trust God, follow Jesus, and keep becoming who He has called us to be. 🙌

Make the plan. Surrender the outcome.🙌

Planning isn’t the problem. In fact, responsibility and surrender can—and should—exist together.

Proverbs 19:21 reminds us that while we can make plans, ultimately, it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails. Our job is to be responsible with what God has placed in our hands. His job is to handle the outcome.

The problem comes when we cross that line and begin trying to control what was never ours to control in the first place.🫣

This past Sunday, Pastor Shayla McCormick reminded us that there’s freedom in knowing the difference between your responsibility and God’s. Make the plan. Do your part. But surrender the outcome and trust Him with what happens next.❤️

Some things are worth surrendering. 🙌✝️

This Sunday, we gathered to worship, remember the sacrifice Jesus made for us through communion, and continue the conversation around what it really means to let go of control. 🤍

One reminder that stuck with us:
You can control your choices, but you can’t control the outcome.

Pastor Shayla challenged us to take responsibility for what God has placed in our hands—and surrender the rest to Him. We may not always know how things will turn out, but we can trust the One who holds it all. 💯

And maybe that’s where real peace begins: not in having all the answers or getting the outcome we hoped for, but in knowing that God is still good, still faithful, and still in control. 🙏❤️

We’ll see you next Sunday! 😎

So many of us are grasping for peace while we’re grasping for control. But you can’t hold both at the same time. 🙌

Pastor TJ reminded us that control was never meant to be in our hands, but surrender always is. When we’re anxious, the invitation isn’t to grip tighter, it’s to bring our requests to God in prayer and let Him carry what we can’t. 🤍

Peace isn’t found in being in control. It’s found in trusting the One who is. ✝️

What are you gripping today that you need to surrender to God instead?

Does it bother you that God is calm in the middle of your chaos? 🤔

Pastor TJ reminded us that what we try to control the most usually reveals where we trust God the least. It exposes the places where we’re running on our own strength instead of His. But God has never once left His throne, and His calm shouldn’t bother us, it should motivate us. We can stand on a foundation that doesn’t change. 🙌✝️

What is your grip on right now revealing about where you trust God?

Sundays hit different. 🙌

From lifting up Jesus in worship to diving deeper into week 3 of our Control Issues series, we’re so thankful for another Sunday with our church family. 🤍

One reminder that stuck with us:
Control was never in your hands, but surrender always is.

The more we try to control people, outcomes, even our own reputation, the more chaos we create. But peace isn’t found in being in control, it’s found in trusting the One who is. 💯🙏

Whatever you’re gripping tight today, God’s inviting you to open your hands and trust Him instead.

We’ll see you next Sunday! 😎

We spend so much of our lives trying to grab hold of the things we think will give us peace, security, and answers. But what if the solution isn’t something we need to take hold of—it’s Someone we need to surrender to? 🙌

Pastor TJ reminded us that surrender isn’t just how we find serenity. Surrender is how we find salvation. When we surrender our lives to Jesus, we’re trusting the One who loved us enough to give His life for us. ❤️✝️

Maybe the next step you’ve been looking for isn’t another answer, another plan, or another attempt to take control.

Maybe it’s surrender.
