The St. Denis Youth Ministry had a great summer kickoff! Their first Campfire Conversation started with a team builder to learn each other's names and the importance of staying focused. They then read and discussed the Gospel of St. Matthew where Peter walks on water to meet Jesus and learns the importance of staying focused on keeping his faith. There were smores, snacks, games, and laughter woven into pauses to reflect. We included a commitment to look for and support those who might need to refocus and keep the faith during this transition time of school ending, graduations, movement, and change.
We appreciate all those kids who joined, including those from St. Mary's and other churches. God is good, all the time; all the time, God is good!
