To pray for healing, wisdom and peace during this season of life. Levi has been diagnosed with Spina Bifida Myelomeningocele affecting 5-6 of his vertebrae. Diagnosis after his birth was at level L3/4 (knees/feet movement) but his current function is showing movement at L1/2 (hips and some inner thigh). The nerves should run straight down and be enclosed in the spinal column. With Spina Bifida mye

lomeningocele, the nerves are exposed and go through the vertebra to outside of the back causing the lesion covered with a thin membrane (right picture). Depending on where the nerves are exposed, reflects on the child's mobility (leg movements, bladder/ bowel function). Lesion sizes can vary, Levi's went from hip to hip. He has a horizontal zig-zag scar line from surgery though some run up and down. Video & testimony:
