My brother posted this poem this morning from one of his Church members Doris who is their 100 year poet. A great poem to start the week.

Lord, give me faith to accept things I don't understand,
And faithfully to obey Your teachings and commands.
Because if I knew results of adversities which I face,
No faith would be required as I continue life's race.

But when I pray and see no way out of my situation,
With faith, I will trust the Holy Spirit to give direction.
And He who searches the heart, for me intercedes,
So give me patience, and not ahead You proceed.

Although my damaged house needs many repairs,
I serve a loving Father who cares about my affairs.
So grant me patience to relax in Your loving arms,
For there my life will be safe from all earth's harms.

I do not know your needs today, but God knows,
And any adverse circumstances can overthrow.
So this poem is sent to encourage some friends,
And that won't be done if this poem I don't send.
